Jase's One-Year Photos

Photographing toddlers can be a bit challenging, to say the least.  They are usually wanting to do anything other look at a camera for long periods of time.  They are always on the move and that can be difficult for the photographer.  However, this little guy is definitely the exception to the rule.  He was so chill and super happy.  There were so many good shots, it was difficult narrowing them down to a handful of favorites.

See what I mean?  Such a good little model!  Doing this shoot made me really miss doing photo shoots on a regular basis.  Thanks for making my job so easy buddy!

Maternity Shoot

I had a little maternity shoot the other day. I am six months along and wanted a shoot now before I get too huge (the third trimester gets a bit scary for me, especially toward the end). Wendel took the photos of me and my friend, Autumn, took the shots of Wendel and I together. We went out to a grove of trees here in Maricopa. It was a beautiful setting and the light was perfect. Other than being eaten alive by mosquitoes and the humidity in the air making it feel like a tropical jungle, I think the shoot turned out pretty well. Here are some of my favorites. (I just can't share the family photos yet since I will likely use one of them for our Christmas card this year.)

These pictures are so precious to me. I value photos that capture emotion between me and my family more than almost anything. I'm getting excited for our second little boy to join us. My mom and sister are coming into town this weekend to help me paint his nursery. I'm so excited to put it together and get ready for him. And now...I am so tired, I am about to fall asleep while I am typing. Goodnight!

Autumn and Kevin

Autumn and Kevin are our good friends who live one street over from us. We love hanging out with them. One afternoon in May (before it got too hot here) we went out this beautiful orchard nearby and took a few pictures for them. Here are their favorites.

They ordered a large canvas print of this image for their bedroom. I love how it turned out.

It's always fun photographing a photogenic couple. It makes our job so easy! :) Hope you love them!

Seattle Mini Session: The Wing Family

Popping in to share another mini session we did while in Seattle.  Here are some favorites of the Wing family.

Seattle Mini Session: The Broadbent Family

This is one of the mini sessions we did while we were in Seattle. This cute family has grown by two since our last photo session with them. Chris and Mel are also our friends. Mel watched Oliver so many times for us while I was in graduate school and Chris helped us so much as we were packing up, leaving Washington to move to Arizona.

It was difficult to choose only a few images to touch up. What a beautiful family! We miss you guys!

Seattle Mini Photo Sessions

We will be in the Seattle area the first week of June and we are booking a few mini sessions while we are there. Here are the details:

• 30 minute session


• 5 edited images, selected by the photographers


• All unedited images + the 5 edited images on a disk (with copyright release)


• Availability: Monday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 6th 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00 (time slots available based on a first come, first serve basis)


• Location: Monday - Field in Covington, Wednesday - Alki Beach in Seattle


• $100, due at time of session


• Other times and locations may be available upon request.

Note: Expect a 6-8 week turnaround time. The disk will be mailed to you. 

Katelin and Noor's Wedding

Katelin and Noor's wedding was fun to shoot. They were so happy and in love and photogentic. I had a difficult time narrowing down my favorites so I have lots to share.

The reception was held at a friend's home. It was gorgeous and the wedding party made everything look beautiful.

The cake was amazing.

 

First dance as husband and wife. Their friends sang / played the guitar while they danced.

Katelin and her dad sang to each other while they danced. It was really cute and fun to watch.
